Belt filter
Part Number:
1 - 22 t/h | B FRU series
Fruit and vegetable juices are an important part of our health-conscious diet because they provide energy, natural vitamins and minerals, and all the elements of a well-balanced drink. In order to preserve natural substances during extraction, the raw material has to be processed quickly and hygienically. Modern economical juice production is not only characterized by high-quality juices but also by high yield and low labor costs for the machines and systems utilized.
How the FLOTTWEG BELT PRESS works
Product is fed via a feed box and distributed continuously and uniformly over a lower belt. Next in the wedge zone un upper belt exerts a constantly increasing surface pressure on the product, thus building up a stable filter cake. The dewatering process continues in the pressing zone with the first stage utilizing an L-profile roller which provides for a quick discharge of the separated liquid to the sides.
In a second stage, the product is pressed via multiple press rollers with decreasing roller diameters. By the alternating pressure and shear stress, the product is dewatered quickly to optimal cake dryness.
As an option, there are rollers available for linear and peripheral pressure for further optimization of process efficiency.
To maintain consistent high pressing capacity, the belts are cleaned continuously using high pressure spray nozzles.
