Ingersoll Rand Releases Energy Efficient Dec Dryer
Brussels - November, 2011 Ingersoll Rand, a global leader in compressed air technology, has released its new Dec high-efficiency refrigerated cycling dryers for the EMEIA region. Manufactured at Ingersoll Rands specialized Air Treatment factory in Fogliano, the new Dec dryers are designed to achieve better performance, while reducing energy consumption. The dryers have been launched in Trieste, Italy, alongside the IE3 premium efficiency rated R-Series 55-75kW range of contact cooled rotary screw air compressors, further extending Ingersoll Rands portfolio of enhanced energy efficient products that can adapt to all loads and applications.
Lower energy costs, high quality air and an environmentally-friendly product were the goals for this new line of compressed air dryers, and we achieved all three says Air Treatment Business Leader, EMEIA, Leslie Donaghy.
Cycling dryers save energy by automatically deactivating the compressor during low loads. Ingersoll Rand Dec cycling dryers reduce energy use even further than traditional cycling dryers through the use of new patented heat exchangers and thermal mass technology while still delivering constant ISO Class 4 air quality. The Dec dryer also includes a heavy-duty electronic no-loss (ENL) drain which increases energy efficiency and reliability by eliminating the loss of compressed air. Total energy savings can be seen conveniently displayed on the control panel of the microprocessor.
The highly efficient refrigerant compressor uses R134a and R407c which have a very low Global Warming Index (GWI).
Other features such as plug-and-play installation and dryer self-regulation make start-up convenient and ongoing maintenance simple and easy. The compact size of the Dec dryer decreases the overall footprint of the product and minimizes shipping and installation costs.
The Dec dryer can be paired with a high efficiency variable speed drive (VSD) compressor, such as the Ingersoll Rand Nirvana compressor, to support critical applications where the demand for compressed air changes on a regular basis, including hospitals and pharmaceutical facilities.
